HeyIamOnline Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary

Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary is about 70KM from Pune station. This is relatively a small wildlife sanctuary and is located off Pune-Sholapur highway. The Mayureshwar Wildlife sanctuary is famous for Chinkaras (Indian gazelle), Indian Wolf, Indian Fox and Hyena. Since it is very close to Pune you can visit this place and return to Pune within a day. The road is quite good, and you need to travel for about 55 KM on the Sholapur highway before you turn south at the Chaufula village towards Supa.

The best time to watch the chinkaras is early morning 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and in the evenings from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. One of the eight Ashtavinayaka temples located at Moregaon is very close to the Mayureshwar Wildlife Sanctuary.
